Uno is a 1-year-old Heeler mix who weighs a perfectly portable 33 pounds and is ready to find a family to call his own! This happy-go-lucky guy has a wonderful mix of playful energy and cuddle bug charm. He loves playing fetch, carrying around his favorite toys, and when the fun is over, he's more than happy to curl up for a nap. One of his favorite sleeping positions? Flat on his back with his legs in the air, making everyone around him smile. Uno's previous foster reports that he is both house trained and crate trained. He's used to having a doggie door, so he knows to potty outside, but in a home without one he'll need regular potty breaks while he settles into a new routine and schedule. We're told Uno gets along well with both dogs and cats, though we haven't had the opportunity to test that in our care. He's also a good eater, although he can be a bit of a treat connoisseur and may turn his nose up at snacks that don't meet his standards! This smart, affectionate boy would love an active family that will include him in daily adventures, whether that's a walk around the neighborhood, a game of fetch in the backyard, or simply relaxing together after a fun-filled day. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's equal parts playful and snuggly, Uno may be the perfect addition to your family. His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
