Sweet Sue is a well-behaved, loving, go-with-the flow kinda gal! Sue is politely playful with the large and small breed dogs she is currently living with.  She is currently living with a cat, but is becoming a bit too interested. She has been friendly with the people she has met, but can be a little hesitant when meeting new people and in new situations. Once she is comfortable she wants all the pets and love.  She does well in a crate and is comfortable being left alone for 3-4 hours at a time.  She has been left uncrated without destruction. Sue also enjoys a car ride, and is working on her leash skills.  Sue is described as gentle, affectionate, playful, and quiet.  She likes to play with toys, and also likes to cuddle up for some laptime. Sue is fairly quiet and she rarely barks. She keeps her crate clean and has not had any accidents inside in weeks.  She is a smart, gentle, sweet, and playful once in a comfortable environment.  Sue's background: This sweet mama was found in the country with her pup, Della.  To us, it seems that she lived in a home before as she has good house "manners". Sue is now ready for her turn at her furever home and her own forever family.  Medical Note:  This dog has tested positive for exposure to ehrlichia.  This does not mean that this dog had/has an active infection of ehrlichiosis, only that the dog was exposed or infected in the past. This dog is/has been asymptomatic while in SOS care and is being treated/has been treated preventatively with a 28-day course of doxycycline.  This dog is ready for adoption, though may continue to test positive for exposure to ehrlichia for some time.  Please see here for more information on ehrlichia, and please check with your vet before you apply to adopt this dog if you have any questions or concerns about this medical history.
