Description

Hi, I'm Reina! I'm a beautiful 3-year-old Pit Bull, and I'm still getting used to this whole shelter life thing. I was recently surrendered, and with so many changes happening all at once, I've been feeling a little shy when I meet new people. But I'm trying my best! Every day, I'm getting a little braver, and as I become more comfortable, more and more of my personality starts to shine through.Once I trust you, you'll get to meet the sweet and affectionate girl my previous family knew and loved. They told everyone that I'm an absolute cuddle bug, and I have to admit... they're right! I love belly rubs, snuggles, and spending quality time with my favorite people. There's nothing quite like curling up with someone I love and soaking up all the attention. But don't let my love of cuddles fool you, I have plenty of energy, too! I'm a very active and playful girl who loves to move, explore, and have fun. I enjoy playing with all kinds of toys, including chasing and pouncing, tug-of-war, fetch, and a good chew on a Kong or bone. I even enjoy playing in and around water! I'm looking for a family who will keep up with my enthusiasm for life and include me in walks, adventures, playtime, and all the fun things that make being a dog so great.I’m friendly and affectionate with my family, although I may need a little time to warm up and feel comfortable. I tend to feel most at ease around men, and once I’ve had a chance to get to know you, my sweet and affectionate side really starts to shine. I’ve also lived with young children before and did very well with them. I’m housetrained, too, which means I already know some important things about being a great family dog!Right now, the people at the shelter are helping me learn my best manners, too. We've been working on loose-leash walking and some basic obedience, and I'm doing my best to learn what they're asking of me. I'm a smart girl, and I'm sure I'll keep making progress with someone who is patient, encouraging, and willing to help me succeed.I'm not looking for a perfect family—I'm looking for my family. Someone who will give me a little patience while I find my confidence, a lot of love, plenty of opportunities to play and explore, and a cozy spot where I can finally feel at home. In return, I promise to give you all the love, loyalty, cuddles, and goofy fun I have to offer.Could you be the person I've been waiting for? I'd really love the chance to show you just how amazing I can be.If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict.Your dog’s adoption fee includes:- Current age-appropriate CORE Vaccines (Rabies/DHPP/Bordetella)- Heartworm Tested- Current on NexGard PLUS Monthly Preventative Chew (Flea/Tick/Heartworm Preventative & Dewormer)- Spaying or Neutering- 24-Petwatch MicrochipAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2026 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older.
