Description
Pretzel is now in NJ Don’t let her name fool you… Pretzel will have you wrapped around her paw in no time. Pretzel is a sweet, gentle little girl looking for a patient family who will let her blossom at her own pace. She’s a little shy when meeting new people—especially men—but once she trusts you, she’ll quietly become your shadow, following you from room to room and melting your heart. Here’s what her foster family has learned: Loves kids and adores women. Takes a little time to warm up to men, but she’s making great progress. Dog-friendly and LOVES to run and play with her furry friends. Curious, playful, and would happily spend all day exploring the backyard Crate trained and does great when left home. House trained with only one accident while settling into foster care. Quiet girl—she’s only barked once! Not destructive and hasn’t chewed anything she shouldn’t. Likes a few toys (especially the ones without squeakers!). Sensitive to loud noises. Enjoys being outside and zooming around with her dog buddies. No food aggression, although she does have a funny habit of hiding snacks in her crate for later. Pretzel is also pretty clever. She can sniff out medicine hidden in almost anything, so cheese is currently the winning disguise! She may not come running when you call “Pretzel” just yet, but call her “Little Girl” and you’ll have her attention. Pretzel isn’t looking for perfection—she’s looking for someone who will give her patience, love, and a safe, quiet place to continue building confidence. In return, you’ll gain a loyal best friend who will quietly steal your heart. Could Pretzel be the missing piece your family has been waiting for? Pretzel is micro-chipped and up to date on vaccines. She is heartworm positive and has started treatment. She will need to continue treatment when she arrives, which will require 2 trips to our wonderful vet in Barnegat and a few weeks of rest. She will also need to be fixed, which they may be willing to do at Barnegat or we would have it done at the Spay and Neuter Clinic of NJ so her adopter should live within driving distance of Holmdel, NJ. Her adoption donation is $5 00. Adopting an animal is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these animals have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
