Description
URGENT FOSTER NEED!!! Pilar is a little girl who needs a special person to work with her to get her on the path to health. When we answered the call from the sheter to take her we were told she was a senior. Several vet visits later we learned that she is actually a puppy - maybe 6 months or so. Pilar is a very loving dog who wants to be with you and cuddle. However she has had some challenges due to limited eyesight and issues with balance. PAW is pursuing medical treatment to try to get her the help she needs. We can only do this with the help of a foster who is willing to provide a safe space in their home for her to get healthy.Pilar is about 20 pounds so a bit bigger than a purebred Frenchie. She is tentative outside due to her limited eyesight and depends on the reassurance of the person with her to navigate the world. As a puppy, Pilar is still learning not to nibble her person when she plays or wants attention. She needs a foster who can patiently redirect her. She is also still learning house training and needs to be diapered in the house. She does well in a crate and will sleep through the night. We think Pilar would do best in a home with someone who works from home or is retired. Easy access to a peaceful outdoor area would help her confidence. She does fine in a home with cats and tolerates dogs but does not enjoy their company.PAW adoptes to the MD, DC, northern VA, and southern PA area.
