Description
Meet Lola! Lola is a sweet English Bulldog who is finally getting the chance to enjoy the good life — and she is soaking up every minute of it!Before coming into rescue, Lola spent two months trapped in an abandoned house without food. She arrived severely underweight and is still slowly and safely working on gaining weight. Despite everything she went through, Lola is incredibly gentle, friendly, and just seems happy to be here. Lola’s favorite pastime? Sunbathing! Give this girl a kiddie pool and a sunny spot in the yard and she is in heaven. She would happily stay outside until she turned into a baked potato, so her family will need to remind her when it’s time to come inside and cool off. A few things to know about Lola:• Dog-friendly• Cat-friendly• Crate-trained — she happily eats in her crate and sleeps quietly overnight• Potty-trained when kept on a consistent routine• Professional sunbather and kiddie-pool enthusiast Lola is an English Bulldog, and we are requiring a home with Bulldog experience. Her future family should be comfortable with the regular care that comes with the breed, including wrinkle and skin care and careful temperature monitoring.Lola has already experienced more hardship than any dog should, and now she’s ready for the easy part: being someone’s beloved, spoiled Bulldog. If your idea of happiness includes a sweet squishy face, a kiddie pool in the backyard, and a little potato snoozing nearby, Lola might be your girl! This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.) To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com. PLEASE READ: • If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this. • All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date. • Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments. Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well. Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation. For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com. The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application.
