Description

A DARLING LADY:  Approx. 10 years old / Approx. 11 lbs. Hi there! My name is Letty! I came to Mostly Mutts along with another dog when we both needed new homes. I’m soaking up all the love and attention from the volunteers here and I also got to go for a spend-the-night with one of the volunteers which was fun. I was selected to participate in the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience and learned a lot! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: Though I came in with another dog, I have not liked the dogs I met at Mostly Mutts, so I think I’d like to be your only dog. I’ll be tested with dogs again in the prison/foster training program. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, though I do guard my food and possibly some other items, so older kids that can follow guidelines with me will be best. Let’s say 10+ mature kids and of course, let’s meet!  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a friendly, sometimes sassy, sweet little girl who’s full of fun and enjoys being around my people. I can be a bit timid at first, but I settle in quickly and my cheerful personality shines through. I was a brave girl during my bath, happily standing at the edge of the tub for my shampoo, rinse, and ear cleaning, and I was a busy, friendly little one during my photo session too. During my temporary foster stay, I settled in quickly but had a brief snappy moment with my foster dad one evening when he sat with me on the floor. Since I had liked him before that and was perfectly happy with him again the next morning, it appears to have been a one-time incident that perhaps had to do with a darker environment. In the off-site training program, I preferred to spend time indoors. I got to go on a daytrip to Swift Cantrell Park recently with one of my favorite volunteers and I had so much fun—she even made a video about it so please check it out! Spoiler alert: I rode well in the car, loved walking, exploring, checking out the joggers, wearing sunglasses and having a pup cup! / Energy level: 3-5.      • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have learned the ‘come’ and ‘place’ commands so far. I look forward to learning even more so let's continue my training with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! I’m a food guarder, so please give me space when eating. The Mostly Mutts trainers will be happy to show you how to work with me on that and I’ll be working on it in the off-site training program. I can be a little snappy with leashing and have made contact with a volunteer, so I’ll also be working on that in the off-site training program too. It seems I didn’t have much experience with stairs in my former home, so I’ll need my new family to teach me how to go up and down them. / I’m doing well in my crate at Mostly Mutts and slept well in it on my spend-the-night and in the off-site training program too. It is my safe space. I have growled if I don’t want to come out when other dogs are barking. / I’ve had a few accidents at Mostly Mutts, though not a lot, and my potty manners were good for the spend-the-night where they took me out regularly.    • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love cuddles, tasty treats, and spending time with my people. I enjoy playing and running around the play yard at Mostly Mutts, and I’ve shown an interest in toys, though I may still be learning how to play with them. One of my favorite places is relaxing in a comfy dog bed next to my person’s desk while they work, just happy to be close by. I also like riding in the car—so let’s ride! / Other than not liking other dogs at Mostly Mutts, not wanting folks by my food, and some leash sensitivity/reactiveness, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on my annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I had a dental cleaning with multiple extractions, so my mouth is fresh again. I’m also on an over-the-counter joint supplement called Cosequin that’s good for all older dogs. I came in with some thin fur from an untreated flea allergy which has grown in now—just keep me on flea prevention please. I’m a nice little dog looking for a wonderful family to love and have a nice life with. My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
