He can be reserved and cautious in new situations, so he’ll do best with an experienced Chow adopter who can give him the time, patience, and structure he needs to feel comfortable.Once he’s comfortable, Huncho has shown that he can be a sweet and engaging companion. He has accepted treats from his handlers, enjoyed some playtime, and allowed pets and handling from people he trusts. He has also shown that he can walk calmly and has had positive interactions with people and dogs in some settings.Huncho is still working on his leash skills and can become very focused on exciting distractions like squirrels. He may also be hesitant about entering or leaving his kennel and can vocalize when he feels uncomfortable or pressured. His future family should be prepared to let him settle in at his own pace and continue building his confidence through positive, consistent training.
