The Good Boy in TrainingMeet Gilbert—a goofy young guy with a heart full of potential and just enough puppy enthusiasm to keep life interesting!Gilbert is the kind of dog who gets so excited to see his people that sometimes his feet forget to stay on the ground. He's working hard on his manners and already knows `sit.` He's also learning `stay` and `come`—especially when treats are involved! Smart and highly treat motivated, Gilbert is eager to learn and will thrive with positive, consistent training.He enjoys leisurely sniffari walks, the occasional zoomie session, and playing with his toys. While he may pull a little at times, he's generally an easy walking companion. When excitement gets the better of him, he can be a little mouthy, but it's all part of his youthful exuberance and something he'll continue to outgrow with guidance.Gilbert can be a bit shy at first, so he'd love a patient adopter and a quieter home where he can build confidence at his own pace. Once he knows you're safe, he's all about affection and being close to his people.Give Gilbert a little time, a few treats, and a lot of love, and you'll have an incredibly loyal best friend.Gilbert has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we're a match!  Check out his playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too.
