General info
Description
Found alone with her dog bed, near a shelter within a local park, this sweet girl was - in all likelihood - dumped. Her finder made sure to contact our officers as soon as they happened upon her, to come and help her. We can tell you that regardless of how she came to be there, this sweet girl didnât let one humanâs treatment or discard of her shape how she greeted our officer â which at first was one of stand offish, understandable- but when she realized he was there to help, she immediately went into âI need a belly rubâ position and this sweet girl loaded right up with him to come to safety. We will let our Animal Control Officers focus on this part of Elphabaâs story while we focus on making the next one for her, a true fairy tale⦠Happy ending and all! We cannot wait to see her glow up⦠it is only the good life from here, sweet girl!!! This sweet and resilient 2 year old met a larger neutered male since she has been here with us and she was instant tail wags and sniffs for her new pal! She was super tolerant and loosened right up, ready to play with him! Please come and meet this super sweet little lady in person here at the shelter to see if she is meant to spend forever with your family! We are a first come, first served and in person adoption center. We always recommend meet and greets with and children prior to adoption to ensure a great fit for all, also! Because she was a stray, we don't know how she does with cats and have no way to test for that. All of our adoptable dogs/puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and UTD on all age-appropriate vaccines/preventatives. Adopters will need to establish vet care upon adopting to maintain their new family memberâs health and wellness. If you canât promise forever, please consider waiting until you can, before you adopt! And remember the 3-3-3 Rule when adopting a shelter pet. 3 days for your new pet to decompress3 weeks for your new family member to settle in3 months for them to build trustElphabaâs adoption fee is $40 now through end of day, August 22, 2026!
