General info
Description
Do-Si-Dos is a very shy young girl who is struggling to feel safe in the shelter. She spends much of her time tucked into the corner, keeping her distance and showing just how little trust she has in her surroundings. Handling is especially difficult for her, and reaching toward her leash or collar can trigger a defensive response.Handling Do-Si-Dos can be challenging because she becomes extremely fearful when someone reaches toward her leash or collar. When she retreats into the corner, she may react defensively if she feels pressured or unable to escape. She needs slow, patient handling and someone who understands that her fear can quickly become a defensive response.Do-Si-Dos is scared, not confident. She needs patience, careful handling, and someone willing to earn her trust rather than expect it immediately. There are small but important positives. When other dogs approach, Do-Si-Dos has offered greetings and shown interest in them despite her nervousness. She is still very young, and there is so much potential for her to learn that the world can be a safe place.
