Meet Princess Diana! Diana’s story started in heartbreak when she was found as a stray, but despite whatever she experienced before coming into rescue, she has remained incredibly loving with people and ready to soak up every bit of kindness she can get. When Diana first came to United Doberman Rescue, she was facing heartworm disease and had a long road to recovery ahead of her. But this girl has been an absolute champ through treatment, and we are SO excited to share that she has officially beaten heartworm and is medically cleared! ❤️ Now, Diana is ready for the next chapter of her story: finding her forever family! Diana absolutely loves her people. She is affectionate, loves attention, enjoys being close to her humans, and is eager to bond with the people she trusts. Whether she’s soaking up pets, following you around, or simply hanging out nearby, her sweet and loving personality shines through quickly. With other dogs, Diana can be selective and does have some resource-guarding tendencies, especially around things she values. This may stem from her time as a stray and having to fend for herself. Because of this, Diana will need an adopter who understands dog behavior, respects boundaries, and is committed to providing the structure and management that helps her succeed. She isn’t looking for a perfect home — she’s looking for the right home. ❤️ Like many Dobermans, Diana is intelligent, observant, and deeply loyal. Once she forms a connection, she bonds hard and wants to be part of her person’s world. Beneath the tough moments is a dog who simply wants safety, consistency, love, and someone willing to understand her. After everything this girl has overcome, Diana deserves a forever family who will cherish her for the incredible dog she is. Her heartworm battle is behind her. Now it’s time for her happily ever after. ❤️ Princess Diana is ready for adoption! #AdoptDiana #PrincessDiana #HeartwormSurvivor #DobermanRescue #UnitedDobermanRescue #AdoptDontShop #ForeverHomeWanted
