If you're looking for a dog who greets every day with pure joy, Daphne is your girl. This sweet, happy-go-lucky Doberman has an infectious enthusiasm for life and is always ready to share her love with everyone she meets. Her tail is constantly wagging, and she's never short on kisses or affection. Since arriving at DRM, Daphne has made incredible progress. She came into foster care without house or crate training, but she has embraced learning with enthusiasm. She now lets her foster family know when she needs to go outside by barking or scratching at the door and has become much more comfortable settling into her crate at night. Daphne is a playful, energetic girl who loves to run, wrestle, and play with her foster dog siblings. A game of fetch with a tennis ball or frisbee is one of her favorite ways to spend the day, and she never turns down a good chew bone. She's happiest when she has room to stretch her legs and burn off some energy. Like many young, exuberant dogs, Daphne is still learning that excitement doesn't have to include jumping or playful nipping. With consistent training and positive reinforcement, she has already made wonderful strides and continues to improve every day. She would thrive with a patient family who will continue building on the great foundation she's started. Daphne rides beautifully in the car, does well spending time in her crate when left alone, and already knows sit and wait. She's continuing to work on her leash manners and is eager to learn. Because of her strong prey drive, Daphne is looking for a home with a securely fenced yard and no cats or other small animals. She would do well with gentle, dog-savvy children and another playful canine companion would be a bonus. Daphne's zest for life is truly contagious. She's a fun-loving, affectionate girl who is ready to bring laughter, adventure, and endless love to the lucky family that welcomes her home. Our foster families are generally located within a 250 mile radius of Minneapolis, MN. All DRM dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, health checked, microchipped, 4DX tested, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
