Daisy (A572648) Daisy is a young, timid girl who seems to be searching for a little confidence and a lot of reassurance. She was fearful about coming out of her kennel and getting on the leash, so we took a few moments with some treats to help her feel comfortable. Once outside, she kept her tail tucked and was very unsure of her surroundings. When I asked her to sit, she actually crouched down and lay down instead. It made me wonder what her past may have held, because Daisy seems to be carrying some uncertainty with her.But then we got to the big pen—and I got to see a little glimpse of the girl underneath the fear. She started exploring, looking for toys, running around, and letting herself loosen up a bit. She was still very alert to everything happening around the exterior and frequently looked back toward the shelter.Daisy is a beautiful brown-and-gold brindle girl with her full tail, and she deserves someone willing to give her the time and patience to learn that the world can be a safe place. Depending on her playgroup notes, I could see a confident resident dog potentially helping her come out of her shell.She needs a gentle hand, patience, and someone who will let her blossom at her own pace.
