Coda is a 3-year-old neutered German Shepherd mix with a talent for relaxing in the shade, collecting pets, and convincing people to share treats. This friendly, gentle guy has an easygoing personality and a medium energy level, making him a great companion for daily walks followed by plenty of downtime.Coda is treat motivated, has basic obedience training, walks nicely on leash, and loves car rides. His recent adopter reported that he was housebroken, used a doggie door, and was friendly and playful with dogs but a meet and greet is recommended with any potential canine roommates.Coda has been adopted a few times and has had a couple of returns. One return was due to his impressive escape-artist skills, and another was related to a bite incident. His last adopter reported that he did not try to escape from their yard, which had tall block walls, but he will still need a secure yard or supervised outdoor time. Coda is a curious guy who enjoys exploring his surroundings and may get creative when looking for something to do, so providing appropriate toys, enrichment, and keeping tempting items out of reach will help him show off his best behavior.He will do best in an experienced home with people who understand dog body language and stress signals and can help him feel comfortable and successful.
