Bonita is the kind of dog who makes 71 pounds look downright cuddly. This 1-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix is a gentle giant with a wonderfully goofy, playful side that comes out once she’s comfortable. She has the sweetest personality and a way of making herself impossible not to love. Bonita is happiest enjoying the simple things in life. Give her a sunny spot in the yard and she’s perfectly content to stretch out and soak it all in. But when her favorite person is nearby, she has another important activity on her agenda: pawing at you for attention. Because apparently, 71 pounds of dog still isn’t quite enough to make sure you know she would like some love. She’s a funny combination of laid-back and playful, silly and sweet. One minute she’s lounging like she has absolutely nowhere to be, and the next she’s showing off that playful personality that makes everyone smile. Bonita may be a big girl, but her heart is even bigger. She’s quickly become a staff and volunteer favorite, and now she’s ready to find the people who will love all of her wonderfully gentle, goofy, lovable self. If you’ve been waiting for a big-hearted companion with a soft spot for sunshine, snuggles, and making her people smile, Bonita would love to meet you! Her minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
