Beautiful Arena (ID 721637) would love to go home with you.  She is just over a year old and weighs 57 pounds.  While her past is a bit of mystery, we do know this beauty has a coat that is as soft as velvet and is a gorgeous fawn-color. What her exact breed is unknown, but she could be part Shepherd and may be mixed with Labrador.  The staff and volunteers say Arena is friendly, calm, social and takes treats gently.  This sweetheart does best when you go slow with her, so a quieter home might suit her best.  She is described as having a mellow personality, but it could just be the kennel environment.  One of her favorite things to do is play with toys.  Everyone loves Arena and is hoping a family will adopt her soon.  Arena is heartworm positive.  This is not contagious to people or pets and is spread through the bite of an infected mosquito.  She needs to be adopted locally so the vet staff at the shelter can provide her heartworm treatment at no additional cost to the adopter.  Could you be the one that gives the lovely Arena the home she deserves?To meet a pet at the Humane Society of Broward County, complete the pre-adoption application at www.humanebroward.com and then stop by.  The adoption kennels open daily at 11 a.m. and the shelter is located at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312.  If you have any questions, call 954-989-3977.
