Ruby is a beautiful tortie lady with just the right amount of tortitude. She enjoys attention and affection, but often on her own terms, and she’s not shy about letting you know when she’s done. Ruby came to us in 2021 as little more than a kitten herself, brought in on a hot day inside a sealed cooler because the homeowner didn’t want a pregnant stray hanging around. She was dangerously overheated when she arrived, but once she was safe, she recovered quickly. Ruby raised her babies with patience and sweetness, and she’s been spayed and ready for a home ever since.She has been loved and cared for throughout her time here, and she still curls up to sleep with her son, Diamond, whenever she gets the chance. Ruby is a gentle, quiet girl who has waited years for someone to finally choose her.
