My name is Rosie, and I take motherhood very seriously.I’m about three years old, and I came to ACS with three kittens of my own. Before I even had a chance to finish raising them, three more tiny abandoned babies needed a mom, so I stepped up and raised them, too. I guess once you’re a mom, everyone’s your responsibility.I’m still fiercely protective of kittens and have a very soft spot for them. People are a little more complicated.I can be wary when I first meet someone new. The funny thing is that I really do want affection, I just have to work up the courage to accept it. Once I decide you’re safe, I enjoy a good pet, especially on my cheeks and along my flanks. Sometimes my desire to be loved and my nervousness about people seem to be having an argument with each other.I’m working on it.I’ll probably need someone patient enough to let me build trust at my own pace, but there’s a sweet, affectionate girl underneath all that caution.
