I’m Nan, a coy little tortie girl with a mind of my own. I’ll trail behind you like your shadow, pretending I’m not doing it on purpose, but the moment you reach out to pet me when I’m not in the right mood, I’ll give you a graceful little sidestep that says, not right now, human. But bring out Temptations treats and suddenly I’m all yours. With those in your hand, you can pet me, scritch me, adore me—whatever you want. I won’t even pretend to play hard to get. I love stretching out on the porch in a warm sunbeam, soaking up every bit of Florida sunshine. And even though I act shy sometimes, I’m no wallflower. When the kitty games start at the shelter, I’m often right there joining in, batting toys, chasing tails, and showing everyone that coy doesn’t mean boring. If you’re patient, gentle, and treat-savvy, I’ll let you into my little tortie world—and once you’re in, you’ll find I’m pretty irresistible. Estimated Birthdate: 5/12/2024 Likes: Playing and snuggling with other kitties, looking out the window, and having time to adjust to new places and people. Dislikes: Loud, busy environments. Volunteer Update:  Nan likes to check you out from a distance, she prefers to be one that approaches you.  To get her to like you just show her you have snacks.  She'll do anything for a treat.   She is also partial to wand toys and loves to play and chase and jump.
