Description

Fitz has reached the age — 16, for the record — where a gentleman prefers his introductions unhurried. Shelter life is a lot to take in for an older cat, and this orange-and-white tabby is working through it quietly, on his own schedule. Approach gently and he'll lean in for pets with a soft purr, keeping company until he's had his fill; he's clear about when that is, and appreciates people who take him at his word. Mealtime, on the other hand, never misses — wet food is his great enthusiasm, and at his age seconds are encouraged. He'd also rather keep all four paws on the ground than be carried, thank you. Fitz arrived a bit underweight and with some dental work in his future, so an early vet visit is in order. Beyond that, his wishlist is short: a quiet corner, a soft bed, and someone willing to let a good old cat set the pace.
