Hi… I’m Coretta. I’m named after Coretta Scott King, and like her, I tend to stay in the background — calm, observant, and quietly present.  I prefer to watch from a safe spot until I’m sure everything feels right. The way to my heart is gentle voices, slow approaches, canned food and playing with me.  Wand toys are my favorite and will definitely enhance your chances of being my friend.  Once I know you’re kind, something in me melts.  I like to snuggle in close to your neck, roll over when you pet me and show you how much I love you.   I’m a shy girl, but I have a warm heart. I just like to give it at my own pace. If you’re patient and gentle, I’ll become your quiet little shadow, happy to share peaceful moments and soft purrs. Estimated Birthdate:  1/16/24 Likes:  Soft voices and gentle pets Dislikes:  Lots of commotion Staff Update:  Coretta was standoffish with me for 4 months,  gets a long with all the other cats she's been around.  Even if they are not nice to her she turns that around and gets them to like her.  She doesn't have a mean bone in her body.  Once she gets to know you she loves to cuddle, lay on your chest and nuzzle her nose in your neck.
