Description

Cookie is a sweet, sensitive girl who is slowly learning that people can be trusted. She has made wonderful progress in her foster home, and while she still spends much of her time tucked away in her favorite closet, she has recently started venturing into the living room to quietly sit near her foster mom while she reads. Once you approach her on her terms, Cookie is wonderfully affectionate. She absolutely loves being petted and has even spent nearly an hour relaxing on the bed while enjoying gentle affection. She purrs when she sees her foster mom and happily leans in for pets. She is reliably litter-box trained and appreciates a calm, quiet environment where she can take things at her own pace. Cookie is looking for a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. She may never be the cat who races to the door to greet you, but with patience and respect, she is showing that there is a sweet, affectionate companion hiding behind that cautious exterior. Watching Cookie's confidence blossom is incredibly rewarding.
