Description

Chloe - Female DOB 2/4/2025 Domestic Short Hair - Calico Chloe and Zoey are a pair of sweet, talkative calico sisters who enjoy being around people and aren’t shy about asking for attention. They’ll come right up to you and either rub on your legs, or jump up on something near you, making sure you know they’re there and ready for pets. A cat tree in front of a sunny window would be their ideal setup, where they can lounge side by side and keep an eye on the birds and squirrels outside.  They love to lay on the window sill to look outside at the rescue. Since settling into the rescue, we’ve been seeing more of them together. They spend time playing, chasing, and wrestling with each other, and it’s been really nice to watch. Zoey will also be seen wrestling with a couple of the other cats in their shared room as well.  Chloe tends to be a little more laid-back and happy to relax nearby, while Zoey is more likely to try to turn things into a game, but they balance each other out in a way that just works. The sisters look very similar, but Chloe has a black chin while Zoey’s is all white. Both girls can be adorably chatty and always seem to have something to say, so they’d probably love someone who doesn’t mind being part of the conversation… or the subject of it. Zoey can still be a bit afraid of your hand when you go towards her to pet her, like she is afraid of being hit, but as you approach her with a slow hand, she will relax and enjoy a short cheek tub.  She will need a cat-saavy person who knows how to approach her with a gentle hand and be ok with just a bit of chin rubs while she is settling in.  She can get a bit excited come food time and jump up against your leg to tell you she should be the first one to get food.  Sometimes when she is being petted, she will reach out with a little light nip on the hand to let you know she is still getting used to you approaching her, but it also seems like it is in a playful way.  Because of this, she would do best with no children. Zoey has a bit of a weepy eye discharge, but has been seen by our vet and is healthy and they feel it will get better once they are out of the rescue environment and into more fresh air quality. Chloe and Zoey are bonded and will need to go home together, where they can keep doing what they’re doing now, just with more space and a home of their own. They would do best in a quiet home with no dogs and no children, where they can settle in at their own pace and feel comfortable.
