Boo & Scout

Description

Scout and Boo are loving indoor girls with distinct personalities looking for a forever family.  Scout was adopted from a rescue when she was tiny enough to fit in your hand.  Boo joined us about a year later, rescued from a coworker who had a fire in their home.  The girls are about the same age and bonded very quickly, becoming fast friends. Scout will run to greet you when you come home much as a dog would.  She likes being picked up and cuddled, and loves nothing better than your lap, unless it’s playing under the sheets when you’re changing them, chasing a wand toy, or letting you groom her on your lap.  Her sleeping habit for the night is to join you under the blanket, cuddling up close so that you can feel her purr.  While it may take her a little time to turn into your personal lap cat, loving and interest is all she requires to begin her journey.  Boo is shy around strangers and enjoys hanging out on her cat tree in front of the window.  You won’t see her when you have company, but once she warms to you, she will come out for loving in the early morning and late evening when the house is quiet and you’re in bed or on the couch.  While Boo prefers not to be picked up, she loves to be petted, and will nuzzle your hair and shoulders, or even tap your arm to ask for those pets.  She turns into a purring machine as soon as you begin  And…she cannot resist a toy. Both girls enjoy time spent napping on a comfortable bed, and love a window where they can watch the world (and the birds) go by, especially if it’s open in warm weather.  Scout has food allergies and requires veterinarian approval for her food.  Her previous owner would be willing to pay for her food for the rest of her life, realizing the cost could potentially deter an adopter.  Both cats have always free fed, although Boo could stand to lose a few pounds. Scout is strangely clutzy for a cat and will sometimes trip over her own paws.  While a potential adopter should be aware of this, it does not affect her day to day and has not required veterinary treatment.
