DOB: 8/18/2023 Brooks doesn't need your help. He didn't ask to be here, and he wants you to know that upfront. He's a man of few words — mostly just a slow blink that somehow communicates both "I tolerate you" and "bring me food, but not too much of it."   He has no interest in loud noises, unnecessary affection, or anyone who talks too much. He will not be picked up on your schedule. He is suspicious of visitors and maintains a dignified distance from chaos of any kind.  No drama, no enthusiasm — just efficiency. However — and this is important — Brooks has developed a signature move. He will find you, settle in nearby, and sit. Not on you. Not demanding anything. Just... present. Close enough to let you know he's chosen you. Far enough to maintain his dignity. It's the Brooks way, and frankly, it's an honor. He does not need to be the center of attention. He does not require constant entertainment. He simply needs a calm, quiet home where his personal space is respected and his proximity is appreciated. If you're looking for a velcro cat, Brooks is not your guy. But if you're looking for a steady, self-possessed companion who will show up for you in his own quiet way — Brooks has already picked out his spot on the couch next to yours.
