Lokie is looking for his second chance.  Lokie’s world changed forever when his owner passed away. One day he had his person, his home, and the life he knew. The next, everything was gone. Through no fault of his own, he found himself starting over and wondering where he belongs. What makes it even harder is that Lokie is a larger dog in a rescue focused primarily on small breeds. While the little dogs often get applications quickly, wonderful dogs like Lokie can be overlooked. And that’s a shame, because this boy is truly something special. Lokie is sweet, affectionate, loyal, and full of love. He doesn’t need anything fancy—just a family to call his own again. Whether you’re looking for a companion for adventures or a best friend to relax with at home, Lokie is happy just being by your side. He has already experienced the heartbreak of losing the person he loved most.
