Description

Meet Luna Chi, an adorable 5-month-old, 6-pound Chihuahua mix with a big personality tucked into a tiny body. Luna is a sweet, affectionate little girl who loves being close to her people and is happiest when she can curl up nearby, follow along with daily routines, or soak up gentle attention from someone she trusts. This precious pup has all the charm people love in Chihuahuas: she is alert, curious, expressive, portable, loyal, and full of heart. She has a sweet face, bright eyes, and an irresistible puppy spirit that makes her easy to fall in love with. Whether she is snuggling into your lap, following you from room to room, playing with her toys, or showing off her silly puppy side, Luna brings warmth and happiness wherever she goes. She has playful, happy energy without taking up much space, making her a great fit for someone who wants a small dog with plenty of personality and companionship to offer. Luna loves toys and enjoys having fun, but she also has a tender side and appreciates comfort, patience, and reassurance. Like many Chihuahua mixes, she bonds closely with her people and will thrive in a home where she is included, loved, and treated as a true member of the family. She is very treat-motivated, which makes training and bonding with her especially fun. She would do well with an adopter who enjoys teaching basic manners, building confidence, and celebrating the little milestones that come with raising a young puppy. Luna is learning how to walk on a leash so the adopter will need to prepare for some pulling and excitement with her focus going from one thing to another. Professional Sock Stealer: Find a sock unattended? Luna considers it treasure! She’ll proudly parade her prize around like she just won the lottery. Champion Cuddler & Sneaky Kisser: Luna loves being held or sitting on laps and will sneak in kisses whenever she gets the chance. Belly Rub Enthusiast: Give her a little attention and she’ll happily roll over to request the deluxe belly-rub treatment. Helicopter Tail: Luna’s tail seems to have one speed—GO! When she’s happy, that little tail wags so fast you might wonder if she’s preparing for takeoff. Goofball: She chases her own tail, plays hard, loves big, and has a way of making you smile just by being Luna. Talented: Luna stand on her hind legs like a little meerkat—especially when something (like people food!) has caught her attention. Luna also has an adorable little way of communicating. She “talks” with soft whines when she wants something, such as letting you know she is ready for food or would like to come out of her crate. It is part of her expressive personality and adds to her endearing Chihuahua charm. She is a very devoted Chihuahua who forms a strong attachment to her family. When other people approach or come too close, she may become defensive and react by barking, lunging, or positioning herself between her person and the approaching individual. Her behavior appears to be driven by a desire to guard because she loves them so much. She does best when introductions are calm and gradual, with others giving her space and allowing her time to feel comfortable and come up to them. Chihuahuas often have long lifespans, with an average around 15 years. Because Luna is only 5 months old, her adopter should be prepared to love and care for her for many years to come. She deserves a stable, committed forever home where she will not have to move again and can grow up feeling safe, secure, and cherished. Luna Chi’s adoption fee is $620. When adopted she will be microchipped, spayed, up to date on all necessary vaccines and rabies shots, and heartworm tested. She is currently being fostered in the Plant City/Tampa area. If you are looking for a tiny best friend with puppy sweetness, playful energy, and lots of love to give, Luna Chi may be the perfect match. Her small size, affectionate nature, expressive personality, and loyal little heart make her a wonderful candidate for someone ready to welcome a devoted lap-sized companion into their life.
