Piper (A142388) is a 2-year-old shepherd mix who weighed over 50 lbs at intake!06/06/26 This sweet little lady is Piper! Piper arrived at the shelter as a stray, so we do not know much about her history. She has been very eager to please and happy to see her care staff during her stay. She has seemed indifferent towards her doggy neighbors, but slow introductions shou8ld be done if plannign to add her to a home with other dogs. Piper has been good about keeping her kennel clean inside, so she may be housebroken. Otherwise, we do not know Piper's experience with kennels, basic obedience, kids or other animals. She appears to know some basic commands, and she seems to settle into her kennel here nicely. Please use caution if planning to introduce her into a home with smaller kiddos or other animals. Piper has been vocal towards the dogs that walk by her kennel. Shepherds can have a high prey drive, so we encourage slow and controlled introductions with all new animals.
