(Or at least, he will if you submit that app!)  Eugene was secured after wandering in Illinois, and found himself in a shelter with a high volume of intakes. We were excited to get this sweet guy into rescue, and watch him blossom in his foster home. He has been the quietest member of the household so far, and does amazing with the small dogs he is fostered with. Eugene is nervous meeting new folks, but patience and reassurance are key. He has not been growly, just very shy.  He takes a smidge longer (as in a day or two) to warm up to men, but will brave making their acquaintance with reassurance from a person he is comfortable with.  Eugene does very well in the car, and walks well on a leash- though he does occasionally pause to ensure you are with him every step of the way. He is working hard on house training, but has been wearing a belly band indoors. He will occasionally pick up a toy, but is just as happy to lay on a dog bed or sit on the couch with his person. Eugene enjoys the outdoors, and is happy to lounge in the yard or on the deck with his humans. He kennels easily, and sleeps all night. More than just a cute face, Eugene is an absolute gem!
