Meet Pablo! Pablo is a lively and charismatic male Black-Capped Conure, born in 2013, making him approximately 13. He is an energetic and playful bird with a big personality.Pablo eats his pellets and chop without issue, and enjoys pine nuts, almond slivers, and sunflower seeds as treats. He is an avid chewer of toys, and enjoys his shredding time. Not many birds imitate other birds quite as successfully as Pablo does. He can perfectly repeat the call of the cockatiels in his foster home, and will mimic the amazon there, going back and forth. He whistles melodies often as well.Pablo seems to have a strong preference for men. He interacts well and takes treats nicely through the sides of his cage from everyone, but is quite aggressive toward the woman in the family when out of the cage. Curiously, he seems to not mind the teenage girl in his foster family at all. Pablo does have a plucking issue, and his belly now only has down on it. This doesn't seem to be worsening, but should be carefully monitored by an adopter.Because of his very particular preferences and tastes, Pablo should only go to a very experienced bird guardian, and certainly only to a home where a man will be his primary caregiver.  According to past information from when Pablo was initially surrendered to our rescue, he can form a very close bond with someone over time. The right person will be lucky to have his companionship! Pablo is being fostered in Cherry Hill, New Jersey He will require 3 visits before adoption.   We do not ship our adoptable birds.
