Meet Andi, a delightful young dog with a heart full of joy. Her days are spent charming everyone with her sweet demeanor and intelligent antics. Andi loves to engage in playful activities, always ready for a game or a puzzle, showcasing her smart, fun-loving nature. She’s not just friendly; she’s your potential loyal companion, always eager to please and make you laugh. She is friendly with everyone she meets including kids and loves playing with dogs of all sizes. Smart Andi is house trained, crate trained, and walks pretty good on the leash and would love to join you on a walk or hike so she can get more practice. If you’re looking for a spirited and affectionate friend, Andi is the perfect match. She deserves a loving home where she can truly shine. Andi’s story: The Bea dogs are from a hoarding situation in Oklahoma. The dogs were kept in very large kennels outside most of the time, with many other dogs. They have shown to be comfortable with new social dogs, big and small. Caregivers of dogs from hoarding situations should be prepared for quirks as well as fear of normal household things/life, people, and excursions. Adopters of dogs like these need to be looking to adopt to help the dog, not so much to get a pet for themselves with specific expectations of the pet. While dogs from hoarding situations can make great pets, they need a home and lifestyle that is gentle, accommodating and will be forgiving as their needs and personalities unfold. Here is a great resource: https://www.washingtonpashelter.org/understanding-and-caring-for-rescued-hoarded-dogs/ An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website: Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org) **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
