Meet LJ — A Gentle, Loyal, and Loving Boy Ready for His Forever HomeThis sweet boy was found running loose with JJ after a concerned citizen noticed the two happily zooming around a field between two businesses. With no owner in sight and no microchips or ID tags on either pup, our Animal Control Officer brought both dogs to the shelter to keep them safe.LJ completed his full stray hold and was featured on our website, just as all strays are. Unfortunately, no one came to reclaim him.Since arriving, LJ has shown us what a truly remarkable dog he is. He walks well on the leash, is incredibly gentle, very sweet, and loves affection. He is a velcro-type companion who wants to stay close to his person. He can be nervous with fast movements, so a patient, steady home will help him continue to feel secure.LJ recently met a slightly larger spayed female and was more reserved than JJ during introductions, but he was very polite. He allowed her to jump all over him with no issues at all, remaining calm and respectful throughout their interaction. And of course, he and JJ were super playful together—those frolics were real.We always recommend meet and greets with both dogs and children to ensure the best fit for everyone.LJ is ready to put his stray days behind him and begin the next chapter of his life as a cherished family member.
