Meet Nova, the 8 month old kitten who is as brilliant and beautiful as the stars she was named after! Nova was surrendered to us after her previous owners were no longer able to care for her. They described her as friendly and playful—she loved their Frenchie and kids! Nova hasn’t been around any other cats, so we don’t know how she reacts to them. Any potential adopters should always do a slow and gradual introduction when integrating new pets with their current ones. Nova has been a little nervous here at the shelter, but with time she has warmed up and even let out some purrs! If you are looking for a beautiful and silly girl to take home, come meet Nova! Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
