Basil and his 3 friends are hanging out at the shelter!Per his previous foster: The boys, Baxter, Bandit, Basil and Benny are soft fuzzy brown ratties with white bellies. They have sweet temperaments and are very gentle with their little pink paws when taking food from my hand. It might take a little time, but I’m working with them so they get used to being picked up but the rascals still tend to run off. Once I pick them up I can snuggle them before they are ready to scamper off to other adventures. I have been using a couple litter boxes with dried recycled unscented paper pellets and a pea rock. I don’t know which or if all of them are using the litter boxes but there definitely is a decent amount of waste in the litter containers The boys are so adorable in the morning after their playful night when they are all standing up on their little hind legs showing their round little white bellies trying to be first for some scrumptious tasty nibbles. The boys each have their special likes of a variety of foods which includes 24/7 Oxbow lab pellets. They also enjoy cooked rice, cooked pasta, boiled chicken, cooked & dried oatmeal, cucumber, red grapes, apple, peas, baked sweet potato, carrots, dried pea chips, Gerber baby hot dogs, bits of cauliflower & broccoli etc. The boys are looking forward to their furever home where they can thrive and continue to be loved, cherished and a chance to show off their silly antics.Please stop in to meet them today during the shelter's open adoption hours!
