MINDY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Mindy      Best Guess for Breed:  Golden retriever mix  Best Guess for Age:  3 years as of June 2026        SEX:   Female   Approximate Weight:  57 lbs   Gets Along With: Mindy does well with other dogs and must go to a home with a welcoming resident dog. We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here.   Special adoption considerations: Right now Mindy is shy; she must go to a home with a welcoming resident dog who will show her the ropes!   Mindy is Looking For:   Her forever home! This sweet girl landed in the shelter through no fault of her own and she's a little confused right now. She's friendly but shy, and needs extra loving and patient adopters who understands she needs a little help acclimating to new places and people. A welcoming resident dog will show her how to dog too!   She is eager to trot through the world with all the confidence of a well-loved dog, for sniffy walks and world exploration with her humans! A cushy dog bed, quality kibble, and lots of snuggles round out her wish list.   But most of all she wants to know where she belongs, that she's safe and loved. What do you say? Does Mindy have a spot in your home and your heart?   What My Foster Says About Me:    We will update this once she has spent time in foster care.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
