Lovey’s name couldn’t be more fitting—this sweet poodle mix is full of love and is happiest when she’s close to her people. She forms strong bonds with her humans and will happily follow you from room to room just to keep you company. Whether she’s curled up in your lap, snuggled beside you on the couch, or simply keeping an eye on where you are, Lovey loves being part of the action.   While she can be a little timid when meeting new people, it doesn’t take long for her gentle and affectionate personality to shine through. Once she knows you, she loves with her whole heart and becomes a devoted companion.   Lovey is playful, goofy, and eager to please. She enjoys toys, although she isn’t obsessed with them, and she especially loves spending time playing with other dogs. She gets along wonderfully with dog-friendly dogs of all sizes and is friendly with people and animals alike. One of her favorite pastimes is chewing on a good bone, which keeps her happily entertained.   Lovey is crate trained, although she may need a few minutes to settle down before relaxing. She is still learning leash skills and will benefit from continued training, but she is perfectly capable of getting her exercise and potty breaks on leash and does not require a fenced yard.   With her sweet nature, loving heart, and easygoing personality, Lovey is the kind of dog who quickly becomes part of the family. She is affectionate, gentle, and always ready for a cuddle, making her an ideal companion for someone looking for a loyal best friend.   If you’re searching for a devoted little shadow who will love you endlessly and happily share both adventures and quiet moments, Lovey may be the perfect fit for your home.   Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe.
