Description
Name: Bear Sex: Male Estimated Age: About 8 years Best Guess for Breed: Wolfhound Mix Weight: About 95 lbs Lives With: Dogs, cats, and people! Housebroken? Bear is potty trained and crate trained. Rescued from: North Carolina Story: Bear has a heart as big as he is! Don't let his age fool you—Bear still has plenty of adventure left in him. Whether it's a walk through the neighborhood, exploring a new trail, or romping around the backyard, this gentle giant is always ready to join the fun. His enthusiasm for life is contagious, and he's happiest when he's spending time with his people. Bear absolutely adores everyone he meets. He is wonderful with adults, children, other dogs, and even our cat. While he enjoys walks and outside time, his favorite activities are much simpler: soaking up attention, naps in the sun spot, naps anywhere, pets, belly rubs, and snuggles from the people he loves. Because Bear gets so excited about life—and because squirrels are simply too tempting—he could benefit from a refresher course in leash manners. His size, strength, and eagerness can lead to some pulling on walks, but with consistency and positive reinforcement, he'll be a fantastic walking companion. The fee to adopt Bear is $475 That covers the cost of all his vaccines, the collar he’s wearing, his transport to DC and his care in his foster home. He’s up to date on all age appropriate vaccines. Bear has been seen by a shelter vet and was given a clean bill of health. If you think that Bear might be your perfect match, apply today!
