Meet Joan, the 7 year old Calico cat! Joan came to us as a stray so we don’t much about her previous history outside of the shelter. Joan has proven herself to be a lovely lady to loves to be brushed and pampered by our volunteers. She was a little shy starting out, but her personality has really blossomed to be a loving kitty who adores pets. Joan is considered a senior cat, so she will need regular vet visits to make sure everything is going well with her. Despite her senior status, she has a lot of life left in her and would love a fur-ever home where she can relax and get pampered to her hearts content! Joan's adoption fee has been reduced by $20 by Shelly's Angels, an organization aiming to help get often overlooked senior cats out of the shelter!Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
