WATCH MY VIDEO...Meet Dulce, a loving 7-year-old Chihuahua mix with a gentle heart and a bright future ahead of her. Dulce came to us from another shelter, and we're so grateful she did. After arriving, our veterinary team was able to help her with a painful eye condition that ultimately required the removal of her right eye. The good news is that Dulce is feeling so much better now and is ready to start the next chapter of her life. Dogs are incredibly resilient, and Dulce is no exception. While she is still adjusting to her new field of vision, she is learning that the world is a much more comfortable place now that she's no longer in pain. She can be a little timid at times and may flinch when touched unexpectedly, likely because she's adapting to both her surgery and her new surroundings. With patience, kindness, and reassurance, her confidence continues to grow. Dulce is the definition of a lap dog. She loves being close to her people and would be happiest curled up beside someone who appreciates the simple joy of quiet companionship. Beneath her cautious exterior is a sweet, affectionate little dog who just wants to feel safe and loved. Dulce is looking for a family that will give her the time she needs to settle in and show her that her best days are still ahead. In return, she'll offer loyalty, love, and the kind of devotion that only a special dog like Dulce can provide.
