Description

MEET FLUX and POLLUX!This pair are from a multi-cat home and spent more time with other cats than humans. However, since their arrival, we've been able to acheive significant improvements in their social behaviors. One thing is for certain...this pair is to be adopted together. If you have other cats, Flux positively ADORES any cat he meets. He will groom them, snuggle and wrestle.Pollux is still nervous of being petted but with each meal of yummy wet food, we are able to pet her more and more. She may never fully enjoy petting but she is still a typical cat. Some things to consider if adopting...In a new home, these cats will definately spend some time in hiding: for the best transition, we highly recommend confining your new cat to a room where they can learn about their new surroundings but still feel secure. A small space such as a guest room or a home office are good choices.Slow transition: After living outside, being in a home can be scary to a Community Cat, so remember to be patient while they get used to their new new nest. For best resulst...do your homework! Most cats love food and using stinky wet food and Churu treats is a great way for you to bond with you new cat. Using a back scratcher to pet your cat while you're giving them tasty food will help them to associate petting with good things. Reseve the special food for the moments you can bond with your cats. We reccomend this at least twice a day. it doent need to be a long time but it should always end with your cat wanting more...more food, more play and eventually, more pets.Flux and Pollus are currently up to date on all vaccinations, have been neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on this pair or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.
