_________ B I O ______________  Name:  Dale Doback Size: ~Medium::  26-60 lbs  Adoption Donation: $250 (applicable sales tax included). Adoption fees may be paid by cash or check.   Other:  Neutered Male, Vaccinations current, Microchip    Dale Doback is waiting to meet you!   Foster Home Feedback  6/8/26 Foster Feedback: If you’re looking for a dog that doesn’t like to snuggle, Dale Doback is NOT the dog for you. Dale’s ideal level of affection is essentially living in your skin with you. He has absolutely no concept of personal space when it comes to cuddles. The good news? If you’ve reached your daily cuddle quota, Dale is very respectful. Tell him to get off the couch or bed, and he’ll listen. But he will give you the saddest, most guilt-inducing look imaginable on his way down. Dale is still learning that people can be kind. He’s a sensitive guy who needs slow introductions to new friends, especially in unfamiliar places. His first instinct is often to hide behind you or head in the opposite direction. But give him about 15 minutes and a cheese stick, and you’ll have a best friend for life. We recently attended a “Meet the Dogs” adoption event at Old Navy, where Dale was understandably nervous. As people approached, he tucked himself behind my chair for safety. Thankfully, everyone who met him understood that he simply needed a little time. Sure enough, after warming up, Dale made several new friends. At one point, he climbed into my lap for reassurance. Considering Dale is about half my size, I’m sure it was quite a sight for anyone who didn’t know him! Once he felt safe, he happily accepted pets and attention. Dale completely shatters the stereotypes people often have about pit bulls. If you’re looking for a ferocious guard dog, you’ll find the exact opposite in him. His intimidating bark sounds more like an elderly man with a smoker’s cough—and that’s only when he decides to bark at all. Most of the time, Dale is a quiet, gentle soul. He does enjoy keeping an eye on the neighborhood from the window. Sometimes, he’ll politely alert you that a person or the neighbor’s cat has wandered by. Other times, he prefers to silently monitor their every move like the world’s cutest security guard. Honestly, Dale could give the neighborhood watch ladies a run for their money. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow, a professional cuddler, and a dog whose biggest goal in life is simply to feel safe beside his person, Dale might just be your perfect match. 5/18/26 Foster Feedback: Dale Doback is such a happy guy. The second I get home from work and let him out of his kennel, the excitement takes over the whole house.!  . Dale absolutely loves chasing balls. We’re still working on the “bringing it back” part, but he’s getting much better every day! He is incredibly fast and can jump impressively high and far. I truly think Dale would thrive in agility training. Despite all that athleticism, Dale is also a world-class couch potato. He runs hard, runs fast, and then completely crashes for cuddle time. One of my favorite things about Dale is that he cannot hide his guilt. If something happened, I know immediately because he gets extra lovey, tucks his tail, and pins his ears back. The funny part is that Dale’s version of “getting in trouble” is usually stealing a pencil off the table and quietly placing it in his bed. He has never chewed on the things he sneaks. He just seems to enjoy collecting and hoarding random little treasures. Dale is goofy, loving, entertaining, and full of personality. He has a way of making everyone around him smile.   5/7/26 Foster Feedback: Dale is the biggest, goofiest sweetheart you’ll ever meet. He’s potty trained, kennel trained (when he has a dog buddy nearby), and has the perfect balance of playful energy and couch-potato cuddles. Dale will never pass up a game of fetch, but he’s just as happy curled up beside you on the couch at the end of the day. One of the best parts of having Dale around is the way he greets you. Every time I come home and let him out of his kennel, he gives the biggest toothy smile and a full-body wiggle that’s impossible not to love. He’s such a gentleman too. Dale takes treats gently, waits patiently for permission to eat, and has excellent manners around food. Dale would do best in a home with another dog. He really looks to other dogs for confidence and comfort. He can be a little cautious around men at first, but you can tell he truly wants to love everyone. With a few treats, calm movements, and a little patience, he’ll usually become your buddy within minutes. Like any happy goofy dog, Dale may jump a little when he gets excited, but he listens well and responds quickly when told to sit. And the best thing about Dale? His giant head. And yes, I mean literally giant. Luckily, it’s matched with an equally giant heart.
